Dubai Exhibition Centre in facts
Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) is the hall complex built for Expo 2020 and now the second exhibition address of the city, operated by Dubai World Trade Centre. It lies in Expo City Dubai, about thirty minutes south of Downtown towards Jebel Ali and ten minutes from Al Maktoum International Airport. The North and South halls are large, column-free and connected by wide concourses with daylight; the conference centre, the Dubai Exhibition Centre arena and the Expo City plazas sit around them.
Access is by car along Sheikh Zayed Road or Expo Road, by the Route 2020 metro branch to Expo 2020 station, or by taxi from the Marina and JLT hotels, which are the closest to the site. Parking is plentiful compared with DWTC, and the site is calmer outside the halls. Several shows that moved here in 2026 and 2027 have new hall layouts, so exhibitors and crews cannot rely on last year's floor plan; we walk the venue before the first stand shot.

GITEX Global 2026 opens with the Summit at Dubai World Trade Centre on 7 December and runs 8 to 11 December at Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai, with Ai Everything, Expand North Star and Future Blockchain Summit on the same site. We have put together three fixed packages for GITEX stands: opening day, two days, or the full show, each with the clean-stand set before doors, team portraits, visitor and demo coverage, interviews with subtitles in English and Arabic, a recap film, vertical clips and same-day delivery. How we work a show day at Expo City
The rhythm is the same as at DWTC: on the stand before the doors open for the clean set and the team portraits, conversations and demos from the edge of the stand during show hours, interviews in a quiet early-afternoon slot, editing on site from midday so the first selects and the day clip arrive before the hall closes. Distances inside DEC are longer than at DWTC, so if your brand has a presence in more than one hall or a slot on a conference stage, we plan the route and the timing with you the day before.
For shows that split between DWTC and Expo City on the same days, such as Gulfood and WHX Dubai, we cover both venues with a second crew or a planned sequence, and deliver one consistent set from both.
Badges, permissions and daylight
Exhibitor and contractor badges are registered by you for our crew; media badges are applied for where the organiser offers them. Other stands are not photographed without asking, recognisable visitors are asked where required, and organiser rules for stage areas are checked in the exhibitor manual beforehand.
DEC's concourses and plazas bring in more daylight than the DWTC halls, which is good for portraits and exterior shots of the Expo City architecture, Al Wasl dome and the country pavilions, useful backgrounds for a team photo and the recap film. Midday sun and heat are handled the same way as everywhere in Dubai: exteriors early or after sunset, cameras kept inside between planned exterior shots.

Is Expo City far from the city centre?
About thirty minutes by car from Downtown and the Marina, ten minutes from Al Maktoum airport, and reachable by the Route 2020 metro branch. Our studio is thirty minutes away.
Which shows have moved to Expo City?
GITEX Global's exhibition days, Automechanika Dubai, CABSAT, Middle East Energy and JGTD run at Dubai Exhibition Centre; Gulfood and WHX Dubai split between DEC and DWTC. Our show pages list the venue for each edition.
Can you cover both venues on the same day?
Yes, with a second crew or a planned sequence, delivering one consistent set from both.
Are the halls different from DWTC?
Larger, column-free and newer, with more daylight in the concourses and longer walking distances; hall numbering starts with N for north and S for south.
Can we take team photos outside with the Expo City architecture?
