How we cover a gala
Before the guests. The room as the designer intended: tables, centrepieces, stage, lighting, branding, before the first arrival. Arrivals and the reception. Guests at the entrance and the welcome drinks, photographed discreetly with a long lens and a small on-camera light. The programme. Speeches and every award handover from two angles, so no winner is missed. Tables. Group photographs at every table during a planned slot, delivered the same night for guests to share. Interviews. Short statements from hosts, sponsors and guests of honour, subtitled.
Same-night delivery
Galas end late and clients need the pictures the next morning. First selects go out during the dinner; the winner photographs and the table sets are delivered before the night is over; the recap film of 60 to 120 seconds follows the next morning at the latest. Sponsors receive their own sets.
Light, sound and discretion
Ballroom light is designed for atmosphere, not photography. We work with fast lenses, a small amount of added light that does not change the room, and audio from the desk for speeches.
