Spaces and how they are used
The centre combines a large column-free hall used for exhibitions and plenaries, a ballroom for dinners and awards, a run of meeting rooms for breakouts and pre-function areas with daylight and water views. Outdoor terraces and the resort's waterways are used for receptions and sponsor activations, and the Burj Al Arab is the backdrop everyone wants in the team photograph.
Light, sound, access and timing
Light. Stage lighting in the halls, warm ballroom light for dinners, strong daylight in the pre-function areas and outdoors until sunset; exteriors are planned for golden hour. Sound. The venue's AV partner runs the stages; we take a desk feed for every recording. Access. Crew parks at the resort and moves between halls on foot with the equipment on a cart; badges from the organiser. Timing. Summits start early; the room clean shot is taken before registration opens.
